You may contact us by email, written correspondence, telephone or web based methods. As a consequence we may collect information about you in the process of legitimately taking on your case, for the purposes of acting in your best interests in your case.
You have the right to know what information we hold about you under the Data Protection Act. Should you wish to exercise that right please contact us as explained above, in order for us to provide that information. You also have the right to request that we delete information held about you and should you wish to exercise that right, please contact as above. As long as we have no legitimate reason not to delete that information, we can comply with your request.
We take the responsibility for holding your personal information very seriously and do not ordinarily disclose that information outside this firm. Your information is kept on our highly secure servers located in the United Kingdom. We have strict processes in order to protect your data. However it may become necessary to disclose limited information about you to third parties, for a number of reasons, such as in the course of acting for you, such as instructing counsel, or obtaining an expert’s report, to outsource work, such as for IT reasons, to our regulatory authorities such as The Solicitors Regulatory Authority, Courts and law enforcement agencies or to our auditors, insurers or bankers.
Any data that you submit using our ‘Contact Us’ form will be held by Tank Jowett Solicitors as Data Controller and will be held securely and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 for 12 months before being securely and confidentially destroyed.
Your data will not be disclosed to any third parties without your consent or as otherwise allowed by the relevant Data Protection legislation and will only be used for responding to your query or any follow up work.
